Let’s get my names settled first. Names? As in more than one? Yes. Although my parents gave me one name, I write under a couple of different names.
My name is Kathleen Wright. Nice to meet you.
I write middle grade novels as Kathleen Damp Wright. See The S.A.V.E. Squad information on the Middle Grade Novels page. You can order them from here (it will get you to where you can order all of them) or at any bookstore.
I also write women’s fiction as Kathy Damp. In June, Waiting for Sparks comes out from Harlequin Heartwarming. It’s a wholesome small-town romance with lots of secrets. Be sure to check it out.
I’m drawn to capturing unexpected stories where characters discover they are more than they know, move onward and upward, and realize that saving the world can take many forms. Walking on fire this past summer caused me to wonder what else I could do that I didn’t think was possible. I dream up new adventures to write about while riding bikes and kayaking with my husband in the beauty of the varied terrains and small towns of the West.
Whether I’m home in Utah or in a campground with my husband, I teach refresher writing for a university online division, listen to old-time radio detective shows, and try to convince our rescued Border Collie that Mom knows best.
Oh. Wait. Maybe you want to get on my Reader Connection lists? I like to spend time writing books rather than newsletters, so they will be sporadic. See the Welcome page.
